    Default Robbi Fabbri?

Now missing a whole year of development in NHL what do you make of his future?

is he a legit 60 pt nhler? is he too fragile to reach those pts consistently? I am always afraid of Knee IJs especially ACL tears.
I remember markov missed 2 yrs and then came back strong....but he eats and trauns like a Russian not sure what Fabbri is made of I don't know much about him.

any insights would be greatly appreciated.

hard to say he's a legit 60pt player when he's never hit 50. the potential is there, but it's going to be a long hard road back.

Not yet sure if he's a legit 60 GAME player let alone 60 point player. He will have to stay on the ice for a few months before a prediction like that can be made I think.

Hard to project a point total for a player who has missed 30+ games last season and all of this season. Sounds like a good question for Dobber!

Is there some Russian fitness regime I should know about? Vodka and bear hunting is my best guess, with no factual basis.

On topic though, my gut tells me that I don't want to touch him in anything but the deepest league. I've got a 14 player farm team (in a 9 team league) he could sit on, but there are at least that many better, more reliable options available on the waiver wire. He's on someone's farm in that league right now, but only because he had a free space on his IR, and Fabbri had been dropped weeks before.

Wait and see with him. No real reason to use a roster spot on him when odds are, nobody else is going to anyhow.

I don't think we will see 60 pts out of him. 35-40 points for next season is somewhat realistic but I would be buying him low in next years drafts due to his injury concerns. 3-4 years time? Quite possibly but I wouldn't be banking on it.

well he's a drop then in most leagues, it's not as if the blues are waiting on him because they got nobody to play with
Tarrasenko, that team is loaded with with upcoming talent, sucks for me, he was one the big parts of my McKinnon trade last year.

I think he might be a guy that blooms late because of all his health set backs. Also the Blues are pretty good for the future, so it might take a trade for him to really develop, if he can stay healthy.

The good news is that he is only 21. He performed well at younger ages against his peers and has great vision , not relying entirely on physical tools to score. He has a lot of speed and is very shifty. Actually reminds me of Saku Koivu/Mikael Granlund (injuries and all...), playing big with a fireball style, which lends itself to injury for smaller players, but pays dividends because the style of play is very dynamic. Both Koivu and Granlund had slow starts to their careers as they adjusted their playing style and played smarter instead of harder. I think if Fabbri is to have any success, he'll have to do the same. I am still very much a believer. At 21, there is time for him to recover.
