He's not trading Panarin. He's trading Vasilevskiy by himself and getting Talbot and Eichel in return. No where is he saying he's trading Panarin. He's only not including Panarin as a keeper if he does this deal because Eichel would bump Panarin as one of his five keepers.

I assume if you are doing this, it's because you are punting this year (and he is going for a win)?
And if that's correct, I'd be asking for draft pick(s) coming your way.
I think Vas is worth an overpay right now; while Talbot and Jack are great players - their current teams are garbage and could be for awhile (especially Buffalo). Geez, Jack might not even have a decent winger to play with next year at the rate things are going lol
