Because of snow, they closed the arena an fans aren't allowed inside, but the team is still playing its scheduled game.

I think there's 2-4 inches of snow on my driveway right now.

It occurred to me when I visited NC just last year how nice their highways were. Looked like they'd been paved yesterday, because it never, ever freezes or snows. Guess they don't really know how to drive in it if it does... (or can't since no one has all-season tires there, let alone winter ones...).

Being a Canadian living in NC, I still haven't gotten used to how badly people drive with a bit of snow on the roads. When there was 2 inches of snow a few weeks ago, there were a bunch of cars abandoned in ditches on the side of the roads because they had clearly turned a corner too fast. Also, all the schools close if there's even just a forecast of snow. A forecast!

Did the city shut down? Did bus drivers and tax-drivers stop working?

You think as long as these things were running they would still have the game open to public.

Pretty much, yes. When it snows this much, everyone just stays home.

I'm certainly not defending it. Just my observation as a Canadian that has recently moved to the area.

I have a buddy who moved to NC after living in PA, FL, and OH. He laughed at the same thing. ( I only included FL for completeness)

I really hope the camera crew was recording using drones operated from the safety of their own homes
