Helebuyck for Wheeler/Letang/Fleury?

I made a thread on the trade forum here a few days ago and got some great advice regarding the initial talks of my target. However, the trade talks have changed drastically as my trading partner has lost Crawford indefinitely and the demand for return has risen!

Keep 10 in an 8 team league. Points only, 1 Pt per G/A, 2 Pt per W, 2 Pt per SO.

I had Wheeler as the goat on the list of 10 whereas the rests average age is below 25, however part of me believes a successful team requires a few vets who have a good history of piling points season in and out. Anywho, like the thread title says:

I have F. Andersen already, and will be dropping Talbot at seasons end barring a McJesus' miracle .

Very close to pulling the trigger as I think this would be a great piece, yet part of me really likes Wheeler for another 2-3 seasons and he would most likely be kept by my trading partner for that period. I'm not going for it anymore and am focusing on next year already. Thoughts please Thanks!!

What do the * mean in your sig? I think you'd be giving up your second best piece in Wheeler and your best D.

This is much too steep for me. Especially if it forces you to drop Talbot...

8 team league, assuming you start 2G each?

Goalies shouldn't have all that high a value in your league. Only 16 are started, there should be lots available, and goalies are so volatile year to year, it's not worth investing significant assets in them.

To me you are giving up far to much in that trade. I wouldn't bother and would be keeping Andersen at years end. I doubt I'd be keeping 2 goalies any year, unless my player options are terrible.

Normally everyone in my pool keeps 2 goalies so for long term it does get pretty thin so i get where you all are coming from. The final keepers would be one of those 11 or rantanens a late maybe. Ill definitely be keeping Andersen but thought a second goalie might be beneficial. But i definitely get what you all are saying

Jeez i dont think its that bad! I wasnt gonna keep letang/fleury anyways. And Talbot isnt a good keeper (30 yo) that alligns with my teams age and i just dont believe in Chiarelli and Edmonton..

This is way too much, Wheeler & 1 of those guys is plenty.

I'd offer to sell him Fleury or Talbot to help his goalie situation and see what he will give you in return. Flip the script.
