    Default Next Years keepers

I am currently sitting in first, won last year and hoping to win in back to back years. I am thinking I need to add a C and a RW and I should be set up well I think. But I am just trying to figure out what my keepers will be (going to 4 Next year)

    My thoughts:
    P. Kane
    J. Eichel
    F. Forsberg
    B. Schenn

I am trying to figure out where to target players (looking to replace Hischier for a stud C and maybe Heinen for a RW who hits)

    What do you guys think?

Is this the league in your signature?

I don't think I would keep E Kane in any leagues. I would be dealing him before the trade deadline. This is a contract year and Buffalo is trying to trade him.

Sorry, my mistake. I have edited it now to P.Kane as it should have been

I made a trade and picked up Larkin which I think is a big boost to my right side and addressed that need I had.

But I am still looking at my keepers for next year

    For sure keepers are:
    P. Kane
    J. Eichel

And who I am on the fence about:
    F. Forsberg
    M. Pacioretty
    B. Schenn
    A. Pietrangelo

    Anyone have any thoughts?

I like the idea of keeping a defenseman, but am unsure if he's elite enough to go that high in your draft. He might be, though. Pacioretty will be dependent on where he's playing next year.

I would consider trading Evander Kane also. The only problem, that I am also having, is that I don't really know what fair value for E. Kane is right now. His production seems better than what owners are willing to give up for him. It's also been very difficult for me to replace his Hits and PIM in any offers . With your league in signature, I think you would have a similar problem.

I also like the idea, but with only 4 keepers its hard to keep him (EK, Burns and Byf would probably be the only ones I would keep could argue for a few others as well). Pacioretty 100% depends on where he ends up, I thought this was going to be a big year for him and kept him over Tavares (I thought contract issues would be a factor, I guess that was my mistake). But I like the quality of my potential keepers, and I am trying to win this year so I dont really want to give anything away.

Oh, 100%. He hits, gets PIMs and shoots so much that I basically cant replace him, and he has so much offensive talent that he will put up points at a decent pace. The question is if he get traded (doubt he will because of his history) where does he end up and where does he end up in that line up, 1st line with PP time, 2nd line, 3rd line?

Evander Kane should regress next year pretty much wherever he ends up. Since you are in it to win it, the time to deal him is after the season.

Eichel, Hellybuck, Kane, Forsberg, Patches. Kudos on being in first again, abut I have to ask ( and I don not mean to be an ass). How are you in first? Your goalies are solid, your D is middling at best. Your best forwards haven't done much this year. Patches until this week has been horrendous, Eichel not close to LY, who's is carrying your O? You are either a master streamer or been eeking out wins each week.

    Just curious

Your signature is weird in that it doesn't specify how many goalies start. IF it's 2G I would at least give consideration to keeping Hellboy.

I have won basically every goalie stat every week, SOG, HIT BLK as well. Which makes up for a big amount of categories in this pool. With having those extra categories it really changes the value to many players.

People don't seem to be high on Schenn even after this year where has has blown up, how come? He provides a lot of multi-cat benefits

We can only have 2 active goalies on our roster and a minimum of 2 goalie starts per week, but we can have 2 goalies playing on the same night if that is what you are wondering.
