    Default Letang or Butcher

    Keeper league
    G A P PPP +/- SOG PIM
    Keep 3 D

My D right now are Ghost, Shatty, Letang, Butcher. Thinking of keeping Butcher over Letang. Mainly due to age difference and the fact Letang is always one shift away from another IR stint. Butcher could be the top PP quarterback in Jersey for the next many years. Am I making the right decision or would you guys still keep Letang? Any advice will help thanks in advance.

I would still keep Letang. Butcher should be available late next year.

Letang by miles and miles and miles... There's very few that can give you 65pts in a season on D over 82 games.. Letang is one. lets see if Butcher can give us 50.

Ok so Letang is unanimous here. I guess I should try and move Butcher then. But may need him for a playoff run.. decisions.

Letang and it is not particularly close IMO. I think Butcher has been incredibly lucky this season thus far and will fall back to earth with a resounding thud. Not saying he is not a skilled young player, just that he is not as skilled as his point totals indicate. I also think Vatanen will start eating into more and more of Butcher's opportunity as he settles into his new digs leaving less meat on the bone for Will.

No moves can be made in off season. Trade deadline i think is March 1.

unless you can move Butcher in a move to upgrade your roster for a playoff push. You need to keep him and risk losing him in the offseason. That's just the price of winning

What about a trade something like Duncan Keith for Will Butcher?
Keith lower current ranking in the league. The owner is going to miss playoffs too so maybe he is looking to get younger.
    Good trade for me?

The only way you keep Butcher over Letang is if Letang is out for so long his ability to play for most of the next season is in serious doubt.
