I love bye weeks! We have a 2 start minimum per week for goalies in my dynasty league, only start 1 per night, and both my goalie's teams only play once, on the same night, against each other! Love bye weeks.

All Eastern teams go on a bye week from Monday January 8th-12th, Western teams go on a bye week Monday January 15th-19th. That's how I would do it. Or do 15teams one week and 16 the next. Just have it split down 2 weeks.

I'd just do away with the bye-weeks all together. The Christmas break was two weeks ago. The All-Star break is in two weeks.

So, opinions please:

How will the first game back from a bye week effect most teams this year?
If one team is coming off a Bye and their opponent is on their way into their BYE, do you consider the team that isn't coming off their BYE a slam dunk to win?

EDIT: Upon reviewing the schedule, this is a rare occurrence this year. There are only a couple games which fit this description.

This is so annoying. Had to drop guys I wouldn't otherwise drop just to make sure I can compete with man games this week. Nhl schedule is bad for fantasy without bi-weeks.

couldn't agree more. bettman should be considering fantasy hockey poolies way more than he is. we outnumber the 31 owners in the league by at least a million.

LOL....unfortunately the NHL fantasy crowd is nowhere near the size of the NFL.

As an NHL player, this is a great idea. As a fan, this is a dumb idea, especially when it falls between the Christmas break and the All-Star break. Bye weeks are for football.
