I liked this analysis from Fantrax:
The Isles have one more game --Sunday versus the Devils -- before getting their league-mandated five-day break. Even if the injury is minor in nature, the team may elect to play it safe with Bailey and keep him out of the lineup until its break is over -- Saturday, Jan. 13 at Madison Square Garden versus the Rangers.

Makes sense for the team and the player. No reason to iron-man it through an injury when you're staring down the barrel of a week of rest. The only reason I could see him playing is that it is a divisional game, so keeping the points on Long Island instead of shipping them over the river to Jersey might be worth it for them.Originally Posted by Jouko-Pouko
