Schneider Offer

Hello everyone!

Sorry I know there is another Schneider thread but I have an offer on the table for League #1.

I have been offered Corey Schneider, a 12th and a 13th pick for my 2nd and 6th round picks next year. It's a keep three and as you can tell I don't have any players of value going into next season other than Eichel.

Teams can only keep 1 goalie max and I don't pick until approximately 16th or 17th overall as it stands now. Goalies that will likely be available include Bishop, Crawford, MAF, Lundqvist, maybe Allen.

Is it worth pulling the trigger and acquiring Schneider? Do I gamble on the draft? Or should I try and hold out longer for trades down the line

Any help would be most appreciated!

Schneider would certainly be an upgrade to your current situation. How's your season going? Are you near the bottom of the pack? Middle? Does this trade get you into contention?

In a keep three, with the team you have, Schneider would be a keeper. To me, you aren't giving up a lot to make sure that you have at least one strong goalie going into next season. I think that I would do this.

I'm near the bottom of the pack but not completely out. A number of the top teams have made multiple moves to add as much talent as possible so I don't view myself as competitive.

In a 14 team league, if you aren't picking until 16th or 17th, I'm inferring you have no first round pick and will be finishing 2nd or 3rd last in your league. I'd wanna try to hold on to that 2nd round pick. Are there any other goalies that may be available?

Also, I'd be selling any players you have, except Eichel, for picks.

Your inference is correct, I do also have 2 additional 2nd round picks so I have been working as you suggested to sell sell sell. He has Price so he would not keep Scheider but as I mentioned in the OP I'm concerned about goalie availability with both the market come draft day as well as my own situation.
