Yes, Happy New Year to you all.
2017 wasn't a great year for me, losing both my father (cancer) and my cousin who was more of a brother (heart attack) than a cousin. There were some great things that happened for me in 2017 but those two things overshadow anything I can remember that was good.
Here's hoping for a much better 2018 for myself, and to you and your family as well.

Wishing you all a Happy 2018. 2017 wasn't the greatest to me, but I'm taking what ever positives I can from it. I have learned that in life, you have to be your own best friend because at the end of the day you (yourself) is all you have. Life is fragile, I've seen perfectly healthy people turn incredibly sick in a matter of weeks. Just live day by day and have a positive mind-set no matter what.
Hope you all do well in your pools this year too!

I've never been one for "resolutions". When I see something I feel needs changing I take action. However, each year my pre-season fitness test for fire fighting is in late February or early March so I go on a more extreme health kick in preparation for it. No booze, good eating, etc. I hold the base record and am looking to best that mark once again.
