glad to hear this reaffirmation of my thinking. I just flipped Allen & Trouba for Bob... Happy for the upgrade and happy to have another think it's a long term option

I never project goalies that far. Besides, Bob is signed for 1 more year. Who knows where he'll be. And I like the way Winnipeg is trending.

The Blue Jackets are one of the better teams in the league. They really don't have a backup, long term plan past Bobrovsky. He'll get re-signed.

I thought that about Nabokov.... pie in the face.....
Next 2 years I can see myself wanting Bob, but not by enormous margins if the pool is just straight wins and shutouts. On a multicat, Bob's ratios should continue to be better than Hellebuyck's for a little bit.

I'm going other way saying Hellebuyck. Bob has been average since end of October, he's one more groin tear away form being a severe casualty on your roster. December has been atrocious overall for Bob routinely giving up multiple goals.

Every goalie is one groin tear from being a casualty and as a goalie myself, it can happen to anyone at any time. Bobrovsky has changed his off season training and its shown last year and this year too.
Im not saying Hellebuyck isnt a valid choice. Im saying your reasoning isnt a valid enough reason to make me avoid Bobrovsky.
Let me know when Hellebuyck has won a Vezina, let alone two.
