I don't look much beyond 3 years in fantasy hockey. maybe 4 (depending on the player) Doughty's not going to regress in that time frame. They've lengthened Doughty's offensive leash this year and he's responded, on pace for 60pts... Werenski should end up around 45... I expect 55 to be Doughty's new norm with the new offensive schemes they're using. Maybe Werenski gets there in that 3yr time frame... but only maybe.Originally Posted by marc1pol2

Doughty's only 28. Lidstom put up 62 points in his age 40 season.
I'm not saying Doughty is a Lidstrom, but he is good enough that you will not have to worry about his age for at least 5 years.

doughty is definitely the man to take here. werenski is definitely going to be a stud of a dman in time (quite good this year as well), but doughty has a higher floor.
