I have only seen San Jose a couple times this season. I just don’t have much confidence in the team as a whole in being able to keep the puck out of their net.

I've never had Talbot as a top 5 goalie. price, bob, holtby, Crawford, vasil, Andersen and a few others are way ahead...
moving forward I think people see Edm as a potential top 5 team with a solid trustworthy goalie.. that will translate into solid goalie stats that will push him into top 10 convo.

I would trade Rinne for Talbot in a league where you want a medium or longer term keeper.
I also have never thought Talbot is a top 5 goalie, and I'm somewhat bearish on him moving forward compared to the masses, but really, he is the only guy there right now. He can be solid & above-average, but not a lot more than that.

I agree. I was astonished when he had that year last year. 42 W, 7SO... unreal. That said, I think he is good enough and the Oil aren't as bad as they've shown. I think there is only improvement for that team from hereon out. Rinne was a big favourite of mine and he has helped me win a lot, but he is 35 and while he has been playing like a superstar since this past April, but you have to figure he will wear down somewhere along the line and then I'm stuck with no return for the aging asset. It was a sell-high in my mind and a sort of buy-low on Talbot and the Oil. I hope I was right. Might cost me this year though.
