Halak has been hot and cold, but he for sure has the best team in front of him of the ones you listed. As Axeman33 said we're not sure how you get points. But if you were going to make a move, I'd probably take Halak. At least his team will get some W's. No great options though.

If this is a straight wins league... I'd go with the goalie that will play the most games...

Markstrom/Nilsson/Greiss/Halak are all split time goalies... who are playing about a 50/50 split... so that will hurt each other's value...

There's about 50 games left for Greiss and Halak, so if they split it 50/50 the rest of the way it should be about 25 starts each... Since they play for a reasonable team, let's say they win 55% of their games (currently 53% - 17/32)... in theory they should get 13 wins the rest of the way... Another thing to keep in mind is Tavares is scheduled for free agency, and if he doesn't resign by the deadline, he's as good as gone... I don't think the Isles would risk losing him for nothing (if they do that would be a GM killer, IMO). Losing JT could really shift that offense out of the Isles and I could potentially see them plummeting in the standings...

Between Markstrom/Nilsson there's 49 games and assuming they also have close to a 50/50 split, they should also have about 25 starts each, but since the Nucks only win 45% of their games (15/33)... in theory they should get about 11 wins the rest of the way...

Darling, plays 68% of the Cane's starts (21 of 31 starts), and they have 51 games remaining, so in theory he should have about 35 starts the rest of the way. The Canes have won 42% of their games 13/31, so if you work out the numbers it would project to about 14 wins in the remaining games. Also keep in mind the Canes went on a pretty crazy tear 10-2-4 in March last year, when things finally clicked, and they have a very similar team this year from last year, so Darling could be a great keep for the 2nd half of the year. If they win 50% you're looking at 16/17 wins which would be leaps and bounds more than your other options...

sorry, 2 pts for goalie win, minus .5 for goalie loss
    extra 2 pts for shutout

    thats some great analysis maasquito

i could pick up both time share goalies, just would have to drop a forward from my bench. Start 6 forwards per night. Just tough to carry 3 goalies in a start 1 per night league.

    Thanks.

I would still hold Anderson here. Ottawa has been in a funk but are still a good team.

    Anderson

Nilsson is 1b on the 'Nucks, isn't he? For some reason I can't get on the VAN train this year even if they are doing somewhat decent to start.

More confidence that OTT will turn it around.
