I go Stalock... Halak showed last night why you can't trust him as a #1 or #2 goalie on your roster. he's good for 3+GA in 3/4 games
Hey guys,
At the moment I have both Halak and Stalock. If Dubnyk ends up being out for awhile, would you suggest I keep Stalock and drop Halak or would you keep Halak and ditch Stalock? I really just need a goalie until I get Talbot back.
Thanks in advance!

There's still no news on the severity of Dubnyk's injury or any updates that I can find.
I would ride Stalock over Halak.

Dubnyk now listed as week-to-week. Talbot says he wants to play within the week.
I prefer Stalock so long as Dubnyk is out, which should cover you until Talbot returns.

Thanks guys. It all worked out... dropped Halak and kept Stalock. Hopefully he will string together a couple good starts to hold me over until Talbots return.

Stalock... NYI are letting in an insane number of goals per game, no one should be jumping to grab Halak
The league I'm in is bizarre... For some reason there are a bunch of teams that are hoarding goalies. These guys have two clear starters and two backups. We can only start two goalies per week so this strategy makes no sense to me. Halak was one of the only goalies available that was getting a decent amount of starts.

You have one of the few set ups that halak holds decent value in.. even with the GA being around 3... or 3.5 (heh) he gets a fair amount of wins and usually 28+ svs.. giving him a decent fantasy pt/gm mark. With Stalock intrenched in Minn for the next few weeks though, I'm fairly confident he's going to out fpt Halak

I traded a 16th round pick for Stalock last week just to make my goalie starts with Talbot injured. MAN that trade is looking good right now lol
