Who do I drop to Activate Murray From IR?
Greetings earthlings! Keep 5 league in my sig.
I am hedging a little on who to drop to activate Matt Murray from IR.
Goaltending plays a rather big part in our league stats at near 40%. Most teams carry 3 goalies. I have been carrying 2 all season.
The obvious choice would be Tristan Jarry to drop, however, the Pens have the most Back to backs of any team this year, several of which are during Playoff weeks. I suspect Jarry will still get his fair share of starts.
I ain't dropping one of my 3 D, as Klingberg, Leddy and Letang is a pretty potent trifecta and we only have 3 D slots so I carry heavy. McDavid, Seguin will not be going obviously and Kessel and Barzal are contenders for my keeper spot, as I keep 2 goalies and 3 skaters.
So of these forwards, which would you choose to drop over Tristan Jarry? FOW is a category I am top 3-4 in the league in, so losing FOW hurts a bit.
Anisimov, Dubois, Zuccarello, Tkachuk, Turris, Krejci
I only recently picked up Dubois. But he is coming into his own lately on that top line in Columbus with Panarin and Josh Anderson. Tkachuk is starting to feel like my drop as he is not the PIM monster he was early last year except for a game misconduct here and there. Anisimov was unimpressive until he was reunited with Kane, now he is just scoring goals in bunches. Krejci healthy produces. Turris has been producing.

I won't be surprised to see the Pens send Jarry back to the minors once Murray returns and keep DeSmith up to ride the pine and let Jarry keep getting his work in down in the AHL but hey, it's your team.
If you want to drop a skater, it's Anisimov for me.

Turris is day to day, so I was able to keep without dropping by slotting him on IR.
Just till I see how the situation plays out.
The Pens have 11 more back to backs, almost one a week for the rest of the season and playoffs.

That's agood idea, because you may find out if Jarry goes back down while Turris is dinged. I also would lean Asnimov as the drop - if a skater.
