Default Montour's spot safe on the Ducks PP?

Thinking about making a move on Montour now that the Ducks are getting healthier. What are the odds he holds on to his PP time?

He's definitely going to hold onto his spot. As it is right now he's on PP1 with fowler, and PP2 is Beauchemin/Bieksa. When Lindholm comes back he will take one of them off of PP2, and Montour should continue to see PP1 time.

Thanks guys, I think I'll try and use some of my forward depth to make a move on him before the healthy Ducks start rolling.

His owner in my league is running an excessive seven defensemen (league average is five) and very little in the way of forward depth. Montour falls somewhere around his 4th best D-man in my estimation. I'm hoping maybe I can pry him away for the likes of Aho or Buchnevich. Would that be fair?

Unfortunately this other manager is notorious for purposely leaving trade offers sit unanswered if he doesn't like them, and doesn't use the chat system so I can't really communicate with him. Blind offers that get ignored is a frustrating way to try and get a deal done.

can try posting publicly you've sent him an offer if you don't get a response. I think either is a very fair offer.

I think I'll start with Buch and see what happens, and go up to Aho if that doesn't work. I have them both pegged fairly close but Aho's icetime and shot count gives him the slight edge in my eyes.

This other owner also has Fowler so I'm hoping he values Fowler more as the bigger name even though he has fewer points so far this season.

I agree, his spot is safe for now. The only way it changes is if they decide to go with four forwards once everyone's healthy on PP1 and he gets bumped to PP2.

Montour played on PP2 last night so he might not be safe after all.

Apparently nobody remembers that they played Getzlaf at the 2nd point spot almost all of last year on the top PP and ran a 4 forward set with Perry or another shooter as the shot man and Fowler as the one PP D. I don't know why we'd think that Carlyle would do anything different right now unless he has to. My bet is that Montour sits on PP2 until that PP doesn't work, Fowler falls out/gets injured, or Carlyle feels like it

The safer play is to target Fowler at this stage if you ask me. Right or wrong Carlyle seems to favor him on the pp.
