Keeper Value of Malcolm Subban
With MAF back in the fold, I'm wondering if Subban is worth a roster spot for the year and next. I think MAF will be eased back in, but down the road he might be heavily leaned on. Given this, is Subban even worth a spot for keeper league? MAF is a few years away from retiring right (34 y/o)...

it would need to be a very deep keeper league or dynasty; If you have a minors roster - then yes I'd hold him, but until MAF shows serious decline or retires no, I'm not holding. Any limited keeper he's a end of season drop unless you've got a prospect roster

The answer to this really depend on the type of league you're in. If it's a deep dynasty league where no goalies are available you probably hang on to him. If there are weak starters in free or shared situation goalies in free agency he quickly becomes waiver wire fodder.

We don't have a minor roster and it is not that deep. We can keep 3 rookies each year, plus 7 additional skaters.

I agree not to keep him. For an unestablished goalie to be worth keeping, you need one of the following situations:
1. Little to no keeper cost (minors rosters, extra free rookie keepers you otherwise can't use, desperate lack of keepable goalies)
2. Massively deep rosters
3. Very clear path to starting role
4. Backup to starter you are also keeping in a role you are sure they can thrive.
