Simmonds vs Hoffman ROS

I have a friend who is in need of advice, I told him to take this deal immediately as he has 3 pure RW and simmonds will most likely regress and move back on the 2nd line. Hoffman is dual eligible and he needs a LW. Hoffman will also start clicking with duchene imo and shift to another gear.. what are your opinions?


14 teams. My league is a head to head league with a categories point system. The categories are as follows:

Forwards/Defenseman-
Goals, assists, +-, PPP, SHP, SOG

Goalies-
Wins, saves, GAA, SV%, SO

I'm not so sure that Simmonds is due for a regress anytime soon, but his value is certainly vaulted in leagues that use hits and PIMs (which is not the case here).

In this setup, I like Hoffman a hair more, but it's close. The fact he needs the LW and has more RW to spare makes this choice easier.

Positional flexibility coupled with need is enough reason to make the deal here. I like Simmonds to do better now that they the scoring is spread out, but still do the deal.
