Trade Jones for Gibson + Halak?
Hey guys, I was offered Gibson and Halak for my Jones. I'm hesitant because I'm really taking a hit in the stats department with Gibson, but at the same time I need goalie depth. My other two goalies are Darling and Nilsson. Nilsson doesn't play much (although he should) and Darling keeps blowing up my stats. It's a 14 team league, with goalie categories as foowls: W, GAA, SV, SV %, SHO.
Would you guys do this trade or look elsewhere?

I'd look elsewhere... Halak isn't going to give you much better depth than Darling now.. I mean 2.86 gaa & .905 is pretty subpar
whereas Darling you say is blowing up your stats with a line of 2.43 & .919. Just for comparion...
Gibson 2.98 & .920
Jones 2.23 & .926
The two best to own right now just looking at those two stats are Jones & Darling - I'd argue patience.

Darling's SV % is .903 right now. WHere did you get those stats? And the move is more for depth purposes...I need guys who are going to play. If Darling keeps this up Ward will get mroe starts. Halak looks like he's got the starting job. EVen if you argue no, Halak will play more than Nilsson

Gibson is better than Jones and Anaheim is starting to get healthy. I'd pull the trigger here.

read wrong line. it's been a long day. halak might have the starting job...but I'd take a look at his game log. NYI.. aren't really a strong defending team they win a lot of games 5-4, 5-3.Originally Posted by stefan17
