Default Farm team spot to fill, who do I take?

For the league in my signature,

Thinking about adding a D prospect, off the top of my head, here are the most appealing adds I could make :

    P-O Joseph (ARI)
    K.Capobianco (ARI)
    J.Schmaltz (STL)
    K.Clague (LAK)
    B.Guhle (BUF)
    R.Andersson (CGY)

and some others like Saarijarvi, Cholowski, Wood and Hronek...

Which one would be the best bet?

Meh... Just figured that since I already have 4 forwards on my farm team, I'd balance it out a bit with a total of 3 D

    Here are a few forwards who are available in case you see one who's a much more interesting add : K.Bellows, Emil Pettersson (NSH), J.Hawryluk, V.Hinostroza, K.Kossila, T.Motte, D.Salituro, M.Jones, K.Lind, O.Lindblom, A.Mascherin, G.Mismash, CJ.Smith, Z.Senyshyn, J.Robertson, L.Elvenes... oh, and N.Gusev

I'd probably go J. Robertson or K. Lind out of the forwards. I think you're better off with a lot of those forwards over the D options.

Schmaltz or Clague are both good options for the D.

IF you can be convinced to take a forward I would go wiht Lind.

Yes I can be convinced to take a forward. I thought I'd take a D for 2 reasons : 1- To balance out my farm team, 2- Good D are harder to find than good forwards (had to pay quite a premium to get Hedman), but seeing the replies that are pretty much all suggesting I take a forward is making me change my mind.

I would take Clague from all these options but there are definitely some good forward options as well.

I like Clague as well, and I think that having D on the farm is a smart plan. As you mentioned, they can be tougher to acquire--and they take longer to develop, so having a farm spot to leave them in is very handy.

If I'm not mistaken Clague, Cholowski, Lind and Robertson will get an invite from their respective WJC teams. With a good tournament, their value will be up. So you can use them as a trade bait. With that in mind, I would go with Clague. He has 40 points in 25 games as a D in the WHL. I'm really curious what can he do in the big stage. Btw I have to say I'm not following the other players closely.
