I certainly welcome it as I am getting hammered with injuries in fantasy land my goodness, add on Talbot/Zibanehad today and it's no longer team management but infirmary management.

Their next road trip starts on December 14th, right? So that's still two weeks away. Let's not get too carried away just yet.
I know they play some road games before that but based on the Twitter messages I saw, it looks like that December 14th road trip was what he meant.

Have to think Getzlaf's injury wasn't all that serious. Guys play with worse injuries down the stretch. They could just afford to give him some time off to fully heal (is he ever fully fit these days though?) in the early part of the season...

Getzlaf (face) will join the Ducks on their upcoming road trip that kicks off Dec. 14 at St Louis, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Spin: While the news does eliminate Getzlaf from contention for the Ducks' next two outings, fantasy owners who have been stashing him during his 18-game stint on injured reserve will certainly be happy with the latest news. The center has the benefit of being able to keep his legs under him during his recovery from surgery to repair a broken zygomatic bone. Whether Getzlaf suits up during the seven-game road trip has yet to be announced, but don't be surprised to see him activated off injured reserve before the month is out.

Getzlaf (face) is trending towards being with the team for Monday's contest against the Hurricanes, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Spin: Getzlaf ran with the top line at Anaheim's practice Saturday, centering Rickard Rakell and Corey Perry in a possible preview of what the team could roll out upon the return of its captain. The Saskatchewan native was off to a nice start to the season before getting injured, posting seven points in his first six games, so a return ahead of schedule would be a welcome gesture for fantasy owners and the Ducks alike.
