    Default Rank: Quick, Raanta, Darling

How would you rank these goalies in a keeper?

    My thoughts:

Quick is the oldest but most proven. How much more does he have in the tank and will LA continue to be successful?

Raanta is on a horrible team that is starting to turn around and will have hjalmarsson and chychrun back from injury soon. Is he the real deal? Are there potential injury issues with him and has he done enough to solidify the starting job?

Darling has had an extremely inconsistent year sitting at a .900. Carolina is probably primed the best for the future but is Darling the goalie they need? Does he just need time to settle in to the starting job? I feel like he has the most upside of all of them given his stats with Chicago, however, he also has the ability to flop. Is he closer to Talbot or Lack?

I don't think Raanta or Darling are keeper worthy in what I consider a keeper league, which is half your roster or less. I guess if it's a 20 team league or something with mandatory goalie keepers, then maybe. Raanata has has been a better goalie over his career so far, and I'd put him above Darling.

Quick is still the best option here but I do like Darling a lot as well. Next season he won't have to look over his shoulder and see Cam Ward there. I don't think he re-signs in Carolina. Raanta is a guy we look at and hope for another Cam Talbot type of success story but I am not sold that it will happen.

    Darling/Raanta

I am not sold on Darling and watching him play plus listening to the broadcasters do not think he is the long term solution in Carolina. Ward is being played for a reason - and that is that Darling is really not that good... Raanta would be ahead of Darling on a better team, and agree that neither should be considered as keeper candidates unless the league is really deep.

I've never been a huge Quick fan.

Raanta I believe has significant upside on a up and coming young team.

    Darling, to a lesser extent.

Unfortunately, until Raanta starts putting up better numbers, I'd have to put Quick ahead of him.
