Marchand for...

I have been approached by a manager that is willing to trade Marchand and offered up a list of players that he is interested in:

Backstrom
scheifele
eichel
kucherov
holtby
Allen

I think any of these is an overpayment but would anyone one here entertain any of these for Marchand? The Bruins seem all over the place right now and Marchand had a career year last year and I don't expect him to repeat this year.

This is for the league in my sig, so if none of the above who would you offer??

I would be tempted to look into Allen or Backstrom. None of the other four though. IS he happy doing those straight up, or can you discuss adding to one side or the other?

Agree with EB that those are the only two and I'd want an add on.

I would only consider Backstrom from that list. Center is generally the deepest position and the easiest to replace, much easier than a solid goaltender like Allen. And you would be turning a relatively common position into a productive LW, which is usually the shallowest of forward positions.

this... Marchand gives you a solid boost in SOG over Backstrom. I wouldn't move Allen, you don't have solid goalie depth, after him - 3 back ups. I'm expecting another pt/gm year from Marchand

Just to give insight into value, I traded Marchand and Hall for Gibson and Backstrom.
I had a ton of LW depth and needed a goalie upgrade.

Marchand fills up the stat sheet when he's healthy but Backstrom is playing with Ovie again...I'd rather have Marchand. i just like watching the guy play.
