Karlsson has 17 points in 14 games. I dont think he qualifies as under performing.
From an article on the front page "10 - The number of players on pace for 100 or more points (Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Johnny Gaudreau, Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, Connor McDavid, Jakub Voracek, Jaden Schwartz, Brayden Schenn and Erik Karlsson). It’s crazy to think Karlsson is on that list considering a) he’s a defenseman and no defenseman has hit 100 points since 1991-92, and b) he missed the first five games of the year.

It's in the one-year league section so we'll assume that it's a one-year league.
I like the Karlsson side. Not sure why you consider 17p in 14 GP "underperforming" for Karlsson. He doesn't have a ton of PIMs or HITs but he usually doesn't.
Agree with Cpedersen that it's best to list all of your league stats and information, and the rest of your roster. If you're the one getting Karlsson what type of forwards are available on the wire to replace Backstrom?

For people wondering why I say he?s underperforming he?s only really contributing in one category at the moment he?s not blocking or shooting anywhere near as much as he usually does he?s still getting a ton of assists sure but he?s not even ranked top 100 in my league settings

It's Karlsson side for me but closer than it seems because of peripherals. Based on current form though I don't see how the Karlsson owner would accept this unless they really needed to upgrade C.

Of course he's not top 100. He missed the first few games of the season. He's not top 100 in mine either but he's killing it. He'll probably lead all D in points and PPP by season's end. This trade is a steal in my opinion. Whoever's giving up Karlsson only wins the trade if he gets hurt and misses the season.
