    Default Crosby offer

For first team in signature, currently in first place by about 26 points. 25 man roster, keep 15.
Goals and assists are 1 point with a bonus point for powerplay points.

My Tavares, stone and Larkin for
Crosby, Zaitsev and maroon, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick.

I declined this trade as I really don't want to give up Tavares and/or stone.

I countered with my namestnikov, Larkin and jt Miller for his crosby and bushnevich.

Was I crazy to decline the first offer and am I dreaming thinking the second offer will be accepted?

I'd have taken it. Crosby >> Tavares despite their starts.

The counter offer is a real low ball imo.

I'm sure Crosby is greater than Tavares but stone and Larkin are better depth players than maroon and zaitsev. I don't think there is enough difference between Crosby and Tavares to warrant the difference between the other players. That was why I declined. Trying to keep tavares as well.

I will go against the grain and agree with you on negging the first offer. Though Crosby is great I am not parting JT/Stone and then on top of that a resurgent Larkin. Just too much firepower for one guy stuck in a rut. Stone looks to have taken another step this season too.
