In a limited keeper for me to trade you the best keeper you have to do one of two things; blow my mind with the offer or all but guarantee me the championship. This offer does neither of those things. It could help you this season IF Marchand comes back quick and produces at near ppg level. I'm not sure that happens and even if it does I don't think it all but guarantees you the win.

I love Scheifele but I prefer your keepers before this trade and I don't think it's enough to pry a top 3 player in a limited keeper from me. It's a no for me.

It's still a hard no from me. The 9 points in 5 games was inevitable with Crosby. He is top of the league elite talent (top 3 draft pick in almost any setting). In a limited keeper top end talent is key. I stand by my first response to this trade offer.

If you aren't competitive this year it's all about acquiring the best possible keepers and draft picks. If you were competitive you'd have to factor in the point differential from your bottom forward that you'd drop and Marchand. It may be worth it in that case but this isn't the case here as you aren't competing. Keep Crosby for next season.

The immediate goal in a keep 6 is to have the strongest starting six as possible. You own Crosby - a top 2-5 option at forward. you own price - the #1 own at G.
The thing is. What separates Crosby from everyone else in real life hockey is the intangibles he brings that don't always translate to G, A.

Being realistic. While Crosby's a stud. Scheifele has closed the gap to a negligible space points wise vs. Sid. They're both going to push 90pts this year.

Where I think you have to take the deal is with Marchand. Whether you believe he's a 80+pt player or 70-75pt player. He's such a significant bump on your #6 keeper as is that it gives you a significant boost entering next year.

That's why I would accept the deal.
if you really hate that f*$%ing rat Marchand - then pair him with Faulk for a bump on that #6 keeper again for next year.

Right now, since you are out of contention you have one goal - rest of season. obtain the 6 best keepers possible.
