Lehner or Markstrom

I dont care to carry 4 goalies. Who do you like for the season, Lehner or Markstrom?
Now that Nilsson is back does Markstrom perhaps become a 1B?
There are no real talents in FA to drop both. Only guy who is maybe worth scooping is Saros as a handcuff.

It's a 10-teamer so you might just get away with only Rinne and Gibson and use a waiver wire move now and again to fill in with some spot starts. You start enough at each of the skater positions on a nightly basis that you'd extract a lot of value out of keeping extra skaters.

Yeah I definitely want to lose at least one of the goalies. In cumulative points set ups like mine I find the goalie stats are through the roof. With the ducks playing so many off nights I shouldn't have to bench one of my 3 very often.

I mean flip a coin on which one is worse for the rest of the season. If I had to choose right now id probably keep Marsktrom (hard to believe I'm saying that). Buffalo's D and veteran presence is shallower so I think Vancouver can probably bang out more wins and close games despite Buffalo's offensive edge. Really has everything to do with the team and no so much the goalies for me.

There are some skaters there, just no goalies. So scooping an upgrade in G isnt an option. Not sure what trade value either has...

I heard what I needed to hear, that there is no real wrong (or right) option between these two. Feel free to let me know who you have. I will drop them so they get a few shutouts

I like Markstrom here, Vancouver keeps saying all the right things about him being the #1.

His numbers aren’t great, but they’re better than I expected, and he may end up fitting the “good starter on a bad team” mold in the end.

I lean towards Lehner. He is the number one and both him and the Sabres will improve.

Just a thought: Buf management isn't the same any more under which Lehner was acquired - so he might be on the outs given his poor stats and the fact that he isn't signed beyond thi season. I know it's just about your 3rd G and not a keeper, but if Buf management decides to go another route mid-term, his role could diminish already this season...

Both are of super marginal value - I like Lehner a shade more but I'm a Lehner owner so I might be a little biased.

sorry if I was unclear. I'd try and see if any goalie desperate teams in your league might be a fit. YOu oculd do a 2 for 1 and scoop a skater off the wire.

I prefer Lehner. Buffalo and Lehner will improve. Markstrom will likely get quite a few less starts than Lehner on a weaker team. My two bits.

I also prefer Lehner by a fairly large margin. The guy posted a .920+ sv% last year for an awful team. Maybe "large margin" is an overstatement since I think Maelstrom can have some success, but my choice is Lehner.
