    Default Cap issues

Well as some know I recently added RyJo.

I ended up trading Zaitsev and Josh Anderson for Ellis & Severson. Dropped Severson and put Ellis on IR clearing about 5.4m of salary to add RyJo.

But reality has kicked in and K
Palmieri (4.6m)now has to come off IR. Just no space to do it.

Heres the thing. My 3 high salary most droppable players are O'reilly. Johanson & Kessel.

Centers are favoured in this league as seen by point history. Just take last 2 years for these 3.

    Phil Kessel 8m
    2016-17
    294.05 82GP
    2015-16
    265.48 82GPRyan Oreilly7.5m
    2016-17
    395.64 72GP
    2015-16
    383.81 71GP

    Ryan Johanson8m
    2016-17
    373.24 80GP
    2015-16
    383.81 82GP

Im currently in first place by almost 100pts. If I drop (First Im going to try and trade one for an ugly salary- to drop - and a prospect)one of them it gives me much more flexibility to not only take KP off the IR but also rotate my minors into lineup. Guys like Barzal, Dadonov, Patrick etc which will make me just as good or better.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like that's your best course of action. Better to get something rather than nothing.

In a cap league, id move o'rielly or Bergeron. A trade would be nice. So would be bringing barzal or dadanov up. Are you limited in waiver moves?

    What's your team cap?

Agree with thunderfist but I would bring up Barzal before Dadanov as he is in a better position to succeed

Not necessarily so. Dadonov is on the first line and first PP with Barkov/Hubs. He is also having a good start to the year.

Well best I could do but at least a got a piece for Kessel (I'll miss him for sure). 2019 1st rdr - trade piece I guess.
Now I have so much more flexibility

So in reality I get for Kessel (who I got as an FA) Palmirei (off IR) Dadonov (Can call him up permanently), flexibility to call up/rotate prospects like Barzal Connor Patrick etc & a 2019 1st rdr

Not to mention I can hang onto Bennett and Zacha and hope they blossom

That's what I call a cool cap deal
