What Equipment in Sports do You Spend Extra on?

Go to a shoe place and have them redo the palm with leather. I have had the same gloves for about 8 years since I got them replaced last.

I spend on a good bike (I enjoy mountain biking) but otherwise I'm not really one to spend more than necessary on other equipment for any sport.

I used to get my gloves re-palmed, but for me, the feel is usually better with new gloves than re-palmed.

I spend the most (ie. most expensive piece rather than just second hand or cheap stuff) on a cup because that houses the most important area

As a goalie in recreational hockey, this is my answer as well. I don't scrimp when it comes to protecting my twig and giggleberries. I also get a very good chest/arm protector.

Used to play 3rd base in competitive slow pitch. Invested in a good cup thank goodness. Last game I played, I pitched and took a line drive dead center off the cup. Still had enough forethought to make the play and get the out at first. Time stood still for everyone else around though.

Now I’m a golf fanatic. Buy high end clubs , shoes and balls. Shoes at end of season for the big discounts when the new styles come out. Last season’s clubs from places like Callaway preowned and GolfTown preowned. Always in as new condition for a great discount, Top end balls because you can’t make the low end, discount balls check up and dance on the green.

I found some Bauer Supreme 1s at a store that had them mis-marked for sure. They're regular $200 gloves, listed for $89.99. They are amazing so far.

I spoiled myself on a tax return when i was like 18 and got polarized Ray Bans, and I love polarized sunglasses now. I got oakleys now and they are just lovely
