Default [TRADE] Jay Ajayi to the Eagles

Ajayi moves from Miami to the Eagles for a 4th round pick. I heard they weren't too optimistic with his knees lasting longterm, but a 4th is nothing.

Miami now trying to trade Landry

    WOW
Eagles may have a legit shot at the superbowl. Look what they have been getting done without major talent at RB

To also point out, Ajayi has 1 more yr after this season under contract, Landry is a UFA this offseason, so if they got a 4th for Ajayi, I dont know what they get for Landry.

I am verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry happy. Been surviviing with Ajayi, Martin and Crowell.....so basically it can't get any worse can it? Hoping Ajayi just takes over for whatever role Smallwood/Clement and hopefully some shares from Blount too.

So awesome when your Dud RB gets traded at the deadline. A much rarer occurrence in the NFL.

I just had a .....less aware owner....accept a trade for his Ajayi like 10 minutes ago. Might have a commissioner issue on my hands here. Would it just depend on when the deal was offered?? And who offered / who accepted??

I'm still trying to decide if this is good or bad for Ajayi owners...

On the one hand he was bad on a bad team with a terrible OL.

Now he might be better in PHI but he definitely won't be getting as many carries and might not get many, if any, red zone touches...

It's not like he had a rushing TD this yr....

It's good, but he needs to do well. He's the lead back right now, but if he doesn't do anything with the opportunity, it'll suck.

Big test week1 with the Eagles tho, against Denver...

I found this on the score article about the trade:
Ajayi has struggled this season, averaging 3.4 yards per carry and failing to score a touchdown. But he remains Pro Football Focus' sixth-ranked running back, since his lack of production can largely be blamed on Miami's offensive line.

But going from Carolina to a much needed bye week for the guy is prolly helpful in the long run.

And it went from a playoff schedule of:
    Week 13 – Denver
    Week 14 – NE
    Week 15 - @Buff
    Week 16 - @KC
    To a playoff schedule of:
    Week 13 – @Seattle
    Week 14 – @LAR
    Week 15 - @NYG
    Week 16 – vs. Oak

Is pretty good if you make it to the playoffs.
