Talbot offer(will rep)

I inquired about Talbot hoping to buy low(ish) and was sent the following offer and wanted some thoughts. I rejected the offer but am hoping him to drop panarin for a larkin or duchene type guy. If i did give those 2, id need another good player coming back to me.

Give- Hellebyuck and Panarin
Get- Talbot

His Team(only listing his better players) He loves having a lot of d-men.
C- kadri, bergeron, o'reilly, ziba
LW- ovi, huberdeau
RW- atkinson
D- ghost, parayko, faulk, giordano, subban

First off, I don't think his asking price for Talbot is crazy. I'd probably want something very similar to that if I were to trade Talbot.

I bolded something you said in your OP that I've read a few times and I still don't understand what you are trying to say there. You are "hoping him to drop Panarin for Larkin or Duchene type guy". What does that mean?? Are you wanting him to drop his asking price of Panarin down? If that's the case, why don;t you just counter his offer with one of those two guys. I know I wouldn't accept that for Talbot but maybe he will. From what I can see, you are either overvalueing Hellebuyck or undervalueing Talbot here especially considering Hellebuyck isn't a keeper for you and Talbot becomes your best G going forward.

Also, you can only keep two Gs so who between Allen or Bishop do you plan on not keeping? What is your plan there?

Im hoping that he would want duchene or larkin or maybe even Arvi instead of Panarin.

The bolded players for my team were keepers coming into this year. If i acquired Talbot, im sure i ciuld move Bishop next off season as ppl are always wanting goalies.

You think thats a fair offer? Do u think with what he offered me i should ask for another player back?

If you don't want to trade Panarin, then I'd counter with Hellebuyck and Larkin for Talbot and see what he says. There's no way I'd trade Talbot if you are asking for a skater with him in that offer.

I'm confused, why do you need Talbot when you have Allen, Bishop and Helly who's seizing the starter job?

Panarin plus Hellebuyck is not buying "low", its buying "high" imo. I would not do that given the depth at G you have, keep Panarin, who is excellent.

In a vacuum I like the Panarin+ Helly for Talbot trade and would do it.

That being said your team is already deep in net. I assume this trade leads to you dropping Nilsson outright. You only have 1 counting stat-wins, so holding 3 quality starting goalies in a start 2 is not a huge advantage IMO. Seems like you do this trade with the idea of making another trade later on, a strategy I'm never fond of.

Who is available on the wire to be added to fill your roster spot? 10-team league it's likely got a few decent options.

I actually think Helle is going to be very good and has a potentially very dangerous fantasy team in front of him.

I was sent another offer about 2 mins after the Jets game.
I think i might just sit tight with helleybuck.
