    Default Scott Darling

I'm getting frustrated with Darling not getting much wins right now. I was wondering if I should try to trade him, but forcefully it looks like i might not get vary much for him right at the moment,or should I drop him for either spot starts goalie and hope someone might be good to pick up or maybe look at right now Markstrom since he is playing well or maybe Nilsson . In hoping that he can builds off this shutout performance and runs away with the coveted of maybe a starting gig.

I have Dubnyk, Elliot, and Darling and all are really struggling now. I need to do something quite soon.
You have any suggestions. Would surely like some of your opinions.

Stand pat if your best options are the Canucks goalies. The Hurricanes have had a weird schedule so far - only 7 games which is tied for fewest in the league. Throw in a start for Ward, and it's clear Darling hasn't really had a chance to get going and log some wins. Might be tough to swallow but looks like your best option is to hold. You won't get full value if you make a trade and the free agent market doesn't look great. One option which might help is adding either Neuvirth or Ward (if available) for a while to help get you enough starts to get some wins.

The best thing you can do is....

do nothing. Early season struggles are hard, everyone wants a fast start. Sometimes you gotta hang in and enjoy the rewards for staying true. Carolina as a team seems to start slow... just ask Lindholm. Van goalies are not a better short, medium or long term option than Darling. don't let the SO vs Minn fool you.

Both Darling and Elliot have looked bad last few games. Neither is a lock to keep a starting job; although Darling a bit more safe.

Hang on to Darling for sure and hope Carolina turns out to be as good as most thought they would be.
