    Default Josh Docson

Josh Docson, Washington Redskins, 1st receiver selected in the 2017 draft.
    NFL Draft profile here: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2011/profil...son?id=2555343

    Thoughts? Opinions? All discussion welcome.
Is this guy gonna explode as soon as he's given the volume? We know that if he does, Washington has the surrounding cast to be a high powered passing offense.
Pryor doesn't look like he's in favour with the coach/team, leaving this wide open if Docson can get it done.

I'm picking him up and dropping Moncrief in my 1-year, all signs point to him having an increasing role in a damn good offense. He's got the talent and seems to have the backing of Gruden and his coaching staff.

I have added him in the league he was available and will be starting him this week. I think he's a great option for rest of season because as you mentioned....Crowder and Pryor have been awful.

He’s very talented but has a lot of trouble staying healthy. If he gets the opportunity to feature prominently in the game plan (as he did last week in terms of snap count and Gruden’s post game comments suggest going forward), he’s got the tools to produce at a very high level. Longer term, I truly worry about his ability to stay healthy and fully available on a weekly basis. Lots of soft tissue injuries with this guy.

He's not going to get the volume people are hoping he's going to get, because that's not how Washington's offense functions.

Care to elaborate? Desean Jackson had around 100 receptions last year for 1000yds. Were those primarily in the games Reed was out for? I didn't watch many of their games last year.
Someone is going to be getting a lot of targets if Cousins heats up, and its not looking to be Pryor. Cousins has always started slow too, so I am not paying much attention to his earlier games this year.

I would need to drop either Funchess or Sanu to grab him, having a hard time settling on either one.
    Any suggestions? (0.75pt PPR)

Redskins use lots of options, so for him to be a fantasy option he needs to be efficient with his targets. AKA 4/5, 5/6, not this 2/3, 3/5, 1/3 he’s gotten. However, the talent is there and he’s going to start moving forward.

He wasn’t the first WR in the 2016 draft tho (he’s also drafted in ’16, missed that season tho due to an achilles injury). Browns drafted Coleman with the 15th, Texans moved up one spot to draft Fuller with the 21st, and Redskins took Doctson with the 22nd.

Last year is not this year? We have 7 weeks of data to tell us that nobody on the roster is going to get #1 WR targets. Even in good games, Cousins spreads the ball around.

    Thank you, I stand corrected

Also, I agree with the efficiency. But the difference between 2/3 and 4/5, is two targets. Volume is what is needed, and the main argument is that he isn't guaranteed the volume.

Only knew the draft thing because i watched that draft wanting either Doctson or Fuller and was happy the skins traded down 1 pick and still go their guy. (21st for 22nd+2017 6th round pick (Drafted Robert Davis-WR))
