Downgrade? (Quick for Darling)

Giving Up: Quick, Barrie, Barkov
Getting: Darling, Letang, (Adding Namestikov)

- I always give up more value to make trades happen.
- I'm always a sucker for Letang and not sold on Barrie and the Avs.
- Wondering if the downgrade from Quick to Darling is worth getting Letang. (I also have Dubnk as my #1).
- Banking on Quick's value peaking now (and nervous about his health)
- Banking on Darling being on the upswing.
- Barkov has some value, but he's riding my bench more often than not.

Not a fan of the trade:

1. Interesting you talk about being nervous about Quick's health, then essentially trade him for Letang.

2. I believe Quick's value is high now, but only in comparison to his draft value this season. He was discounted.

3. Darling is still an unknown. Too early.

4. Barrie and Barkov aren't chump change either.

But yeah, I'm seriously just banking on Darling ending the season basically even with Quick. Willing to risk that difference to add Letang. Hoping it pans out.

Also you're not even trading for Namestnikov, he's a pick up. To add Barkov in there you need a lot more in the deal.

Good points all around. Like I said in the OP, my love for trading leads me to exceeding value to make trades happen. So yeh, probably not the best strategy.

Someone in my league just dropped Pacioretti and I have waiver priority.. Good thing Benn is C eligible. Sadly, name value makes Patches better, but production wise, not sure if Namestikov lags behind ROS.
