Which D to pickup?

The following D are on waivers:

Krug
Faulk
Parayko
Butcher

Thinking about picking up two of them and dropping Phaneuf and Provorov. I am leaning towards Krug and Parayko. I like Krug to get a lot of points and Parayko to help with some of the peripherals like blocks and hits. Are those the best two to pickup?

I would pick up Faulk and Krug and Parayko....Drop Provorov, Phaneuf and Lee.

Then trade a D to a team that is desperate for D. I would suggest that none of those 3 D-men should be on the waivers.

You have 4 good LW ahead of Lee... so there is opportunity to drop him and then wait until LEtang gets injured and dish one of those D-men to the Letang owner.

Thanks Penguin Hunter but I am not crazy about dropping Lee quite yet. I know he has started slow but when I think he could score a fair amount of goals and gets a lot of hits. If I had to decide on two of these D men am I correct to go Krug and Parayko?

I like Faulk over Parayko because Faulk is on PP1 and I think Carolina will be better and not result in a horrible +/- as last year.

Parayko is nice... but you already have the PP1 guy from the same team... I like the diversification play with higher points potential in Faulk.

krug & faulk - that order. That said, why drop Provorov? I get the other two have more offensive production coming than Provorov this year, but he shouldn't be awful. He's going to destroy the other two in peripherals, specifically H & BLK. I'd be more hesitant to drop him for a bump in points.

Rielly, while he looks set to establish career highs in points. He's still a tier below, krug/faulk are 50pt threats, provorov 40-45 threat & offer more in SOG, H, BLK. you're going to drop a tonne of peripheral stats with phaneuf, you'd basically be throwing away those two categories for the season if you drop provorov too. You have almost no real bangers -gonna en up chasing those two cats all season.

You make a valid point lucafen. I am reluctant to drop Phaneuf and Provorov as I picked them up to help with the banger categories. It is however tough to leave high end D sitting on the waiver wire. Maybe I will listen to PenguinHunter and drop Lee as well. Then I could keep one banger D.
