I would definitely start Holtby. Even agains Toronto's big guns. I don't trust Mason at all.
As the title says..
Mason vs CBJ - WPG looks to be much better defensively than the first two games where he faced a shooting gallery
Holtby vs TOR - Toronto is Toronto and WSH is missing Niskanen
My other start is Bishop vs ARI.. which is a no brainer.
What say you?

Coming from a Mason owner, go Holtby. Mason has to earn my trust before I start him when I have other options available.

Man, I thought Price or Brossoit was a silly question. This one strikes me as even sillier. I don't think I would start Mason over Holtby against any matchup in any stadium on any day ever.
Holtby
Penguin Hunters 8 reasons why:
1) When did you draft Holtby? Probably quite early or he was a keeper?
2) When did you draft Mason? Probably later or even off free agency?
3) The capitals are coming off an 8-2 throbbing at the hands of the Flyers. Will be playing a tighter defensive game.
4) 1st round playoff rematch... I expect it to be a tight-checking game - lower scoring.
5) Toronto is good, but Columbus is no slouch either.
6) Holtby won 42 game last year
7) Mason has been horrible and given up 11 goals in only 2 games played. GAA > 6 and Save % of 830
8) I am not starting Mason until he proves to me he is not going to be a complete dud.
5) I think a team with 26 GF in 5 games (vs WPG, NYR, CHI, NJD and MTL) is not really close, thus far, to a team with 16 GF in 5 games (vs NYI, CHI, CAR, NYR and MIN) in terms of offensive output.
Regardless, as I said earlier I was thinking Holtby anyway and will be going with him. Think it's the correct choice, but won't know if the correct choice pans out til after the games.
Cheers and thanks for the replies,
HMF

I'm sitting Mason tonight in favour of Varlamov. I want to see Mason pull it together before I put him out there. Let's hope he can keep it to 3 goals or less or above .900 tonight.
So Holtby it is - by far the better goalie and the respective matchups don't really change the decision.
