    Default Trading pat Kane

Pat Kane, Charlie mcavoy and M.A vlasic for Ryan johansen, john klingberg and Paul stastny. Am I getting enough out of Kane? 14 team league.

I'd Keep Kane unless you can get the guy to switch out Stastny for an impact winger or d.

So you don't think getting johnansen who will probably end up being my best center and klingberg who would be my top D is a good return? My thinking behind this deal was to spread out my offense because I feel my team lacks depth. Also I was banking on stastny centering tarasanko for majority of the season.

I think there is more meat on the bone to be had here. If you weren't giving up McAvoy or if you were getting an upgrade on Stastny back then I would be more interested. Kane is a top 5 player. Johansen and Klingberg are not.

I guess I was banking on johnansen getting around 70pts, klingberg getting about 50 and stastny around 55. I view mcavoy as a wild card because he's so unproven. Honestly I guess I'm undervaluing what Kane usually goes for.

Banking on 70 points from a guy who scored 60, 60 and 61 the past three seasons does not seem realistic to me. I would treat Johansen as a 60 point player and be happy with anything he gives above that. If you were really getting a 70 pt player back in the deal that would certainly make it feel closer for me.

Yeah true enough. I had him pegged to improve on last season.

That's fine, he certainly might. But don't pay for his potential, pay for his current value.

Don't trade Kane for spare parts. Johansen is a 60 pt assist heavy center. Kane is a 90 pt beast Winger.

Klingberg is nice, and Stastny is a good FA pick up this season. But for Kane? I prefer to consolidate.

Kane should net a top 10 player in any return, as a starting point. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Yeah I decided to reject the trade, I guess I'll just hang on to him now, I just find my team to be lacking depth. But in a 14 team league most teams are anyway.
