Default Pick up Granlund (waiver) or any of these FA's?

Someone just dropped Granlund and I have the #2 waiver priority - would he be worth a grab? Who would I drop, possibly Lindholm (they're both C/RW and he's probably my weakest forward)?

Also, would any of these FA's be upgrades over any current players?

    Zibby
    Trocheck
    Larkin
    Brown
    Namestnikov
    Maatta
    Komarov

    Thanks!

    I say no.
12 team 2/2/2/4/2 leagues are "shallow"... and eventually somebody drops a superstar on a slow start.
Granlund is good, but he's definitely NOT anywhere close to a superstar in SOG/HIT/BLK pools.

When I see Zibanajed, Trochek, and you considering dropping Lindholm... nah, that's not a significant enough upgrade.
[BTW, Trochek is an absolute prize in HIT leagues - but its a bit tough in a 2C league, because of center depth.]

I have a 3/3/3/5/2 where Patrice Bergeron was dropped last year two weeks in.
Now, THAT is a time for a waiver claim (might happen this year too with impatient fantasy GMs).

Hold that #2 waiver wire claim.
I think Granlund may even slide right through to you for free.

    Thanks Pengwin!

If Granlund does slide through to FA, in that case would you recommend making the swap, or still hold off?

I agree about Trocheck - I would have actually drafted him instead of MacK as my 3rd C had there not been that bit of uncertainty with his injury during my draft... but now I figure I'll just stand pat on that one for now

Yup I got Berg off waivers last year too and that worked out pretty darn well!

Zibanejad could easily make your roster. Larkin, with his light Saturday schedule is great for daily league too.
HTH Daily League, 8 teams, (goals, ppp, +/-, assists, SOG, W, GAA, SV%) keepers in Bold.

    C (s3) EP40, Trocheck, Marchessault LW, Horvat

LW (s3) Johnny Hockey, Parise, Terivinen RW, Meier RW
RW(s3) Wheeler C, Taresenko, Atkinson, Gallagher
    Until(s1)

D (s4) Carlson, Yandle, Jones, Trouba

    G Dubnyk, Rittich, Markstrom, Binnington

    IR Ehlers, Hall

I like your team, I think its good enough to qualify for H2H playoffs.
So I'm not making any moves unless I absolutely have to save my team (injuries & major slumps).

With the 35 transaction limit (which I ~love~, your league has a good commissioner/rule set-up), you want to hold as many of those as possible for end of season.
There are about 25 weeks of NHL fantasy hockey, so that's 1per.

I'd probably try to get through the first 20 weeks by using only 10 transactions - every other weeks.
You'll burn 5-6 of those purely for injuries... which only leaves you with 4 "decision" transactions through those first 20 weeks, and I think your team is just fine right now.

Sounds good, I'll be patient! We do have a prize for best reg season record as well, so that's always a goal haha, but yeah playoffs are more important so I'll for sure focus on that and having enough moves left for the last bit of the season and playoffs. Forgot to add in the sig that there's a 3 transaction/week max as well, so usually I'll leave the max 9 transactions for playoffs.. meaning I can use 26 during the regular season
