    Default Mete/Brannstrom

I just traded Mete for Brannstrom. Long term move. Did I win this trade?

Ya, I agree. Who the hell really knows today if you won this trade today when really all you are doing is trading name value, not actual fantasy value. Numbers win fantasy hockey, not names. Right now, neither is doing much to help you win anything.

I thought Brannstrom didn't attend camp, the team left him in Sweden so he could play the whole season with the HV71 men's team.

With all due respect, lots of people look great in camp. That doesn't mean they can do it when they are playing against actual NHL rosters. For example, Yamamoto looked great in camp this year too. Hows he doing now that he's facing NHL caliber players over minor league players that he faced in camp?

Dont let "camp" fool you into thinking some of these kids are something they aren't. Don't get me wrong, I think Brannstrom is a good prospect, but that's all he is today and for the foreseeable future too. I hope he works out for you but I really don't think we will know for at least three years.

And I think you mean the Summer camp for prospects.

I like Brannstrom a lot and think he'll become a good point-producing D-man in the NHL but it will take some time. I think you win the upside comparison but hopefully your league still exists when that becomes a reality.

I didn't get a chance to watch the World Junior Summer Showcase, so I'll have to take your word for it.

Still, he has 2 assists in 9 games for HV71 so far this year.
