Green said the kid looked like he slowed down as camp wound down. Is this a case where he is trying to teach the kid a lesson about being a pro/being in shape or a case where management wants him up but doesn't mean Green will play him?

I think once he gets into the lineup and scores a few of his goals from his wheel house green will have a hard time keeping him out

If not going to play him don't keep him up. Let him get rusty in press box.

He’ll be in when they get a regulation loss....

Yea I agree with this. Green suggesting hes going to play 50 or 60 is pretty nuts. Ive never seen this type of strategy to "ease" a player into the NHL grind. Its really weird. Id definitely like him on the roster but as a long term keeper I wonder if he'd be better off being sent down...

Frustrating and just dropped him in a keep 8 as doubt he will provide much value this year... will monitor and pick him up again if it appears he will receive ice time. My worry is that when he does play he will get 10-12 minutes on the 3rd or 4th line. Would be really frustrating if I were a Canucks fan as they have nothing to play for so let the young players get some ice time so they at least can start the re-build process...

I traded Boeser to one of my rivals for Ilya Samsonov and Michael Rasmussen the day before the season started. It wasnt a hard decision, in the end the factor that made up my mind is that Boeser is playing for one of the most ****ed up franchises in pro sports and the chances of them blowing his development are pretty good. I hope those who have held him are able to get decent value in a trade.

Looks like Boeser was on the 1st line in today's practice, so hopefully that's where he plays in the next game.

You would think thats the right spot for him.
Eriksson's contract looks so horrible right now. As a Kings fan I dont feel so bad about Dustin Brown's. Gagner and Sutter on the 4th line in VAN. How sad for them.

Boeser played with those two at the end of last season when he was playing his first NHL games, and I think they had good chemistry playing together. Hopefully that continues and Boeser gets to play with the best players that team has to offer.

    well, its really like they have 2 2nd lines and 2 3rds (or maybe 1 2nd and 3 3rds)
ice time fairly even so far
i think they should keep Granlund with Sutter and Dorsett -- they looked really good as a shutdown line (against Edm, anyway)
then Gagner with Virtanen and Ericsson (who does have buyout written all over him, likely after next year, when they hope to be good again) -- Jake also looked quite good w Gagner
Burmistrov out for Boeser, makes sense
    then the old farts line

sigh... we're at what? game 3 of the season? he's a 1st year pro. I would bet it's more than just a plug and play decision. Mind you, Burmistrov should just be waived completely. It's unlikely work ethic or attitude, it could be as simple as him picking up all Green's set plays and the teams system. Green is known to have more set plays than almost any other coach in hockey. Especially on face-offs, if he's not getting those down in practice - Green likely won't play him.

Travis Green was awful player with Islanders. My buddy hates him, when he was with isles he hit on my buddies girlfriend who is now is my buddies wife. I forgot about this. I have to text my buddy and ask what he thinks as Green as a coach.
