Darling or Mason as 3rd goalie?
Hey guys,
Who do you like more for this season Darling or Mason? I currently have both but I feel it's unnecessary and would like another roster spot for a skater. I've heard differing opinions on both goalies. Mason's start has me skeptical but I know it's early and I try to practice patience. Both seem to be in a similar position in which they could lose starts to Ward/Helle. Thanks in advance!

I think I would stick with Darling. While I am personally not as high on the Hurricanes as some, I think Darling will have a longer leash than Mason. Helly is younger than mason and was seen as the goalie of the future at one point in Winnipeg. Whereas Darling is younger than Ward, has the bigger money deal AND Ward is in the last year of his contract. Carolina needs Darling to succeed more than the Jets need Mason. So Darling would be the choice for me.

As a Mason owner I would have traded him for Darling pre-season in a split second. After 2 games Mason has not improved his position. Darling for sure.

I was hoping for better from Mason so far and though the potential was there but right now I’m slowly drifting away from him (where’s the homer into the bush meme when you need it)... Darling for me
