Take bishop here, don't think too much on it.
Am I totally nuts for thinking about starting Vasi vs. Panthers over Bishop vs. Golden Knights?
Vasi put up Save %s of .941 and .946 in 2 games against Florida last year, and Bishop has been a struggler lately and is adapting to a new team. But it's Vegas... I'm torn.
Also for whatever it's worth Vasi had .933 save% in 2 preseason games vs Bishop's .823 save % in 2 preseason games.
Rep for your thoughts....
Take bishop here, don't think too much on it.

I'm starting bishop tonight if I owned him.
I mean VGK can't win their inaugural game can they?
Well I don't own Bishop but I do own Luongo. And I'm not starting him vs. As and the panthers if that gives you a better view into my thought process.
Which goalie did you draft first? Start that one.
If it's a keeper league and you didn't draft them both this year, then I would start Vasilevski. Vegas is going to be pumped up for their inaugural game.
^ This.
However in your case if you are already at a crossroads (at game one I might add) you should invest the time now decide who is your #1 and your #2 and play them accordingly for the first part of the season then re-evaluate. You don't want to be thinking about this all the time (or, maybe you do. LOL).
If it is me I'm going Vasilevski. Tampa is a early pick for the division/conference title. Vas is going to get the lion-share of the starts. I am always leery of goalies on new teams. I'd let Bishop get a month under his belt then decide what you have there. Maybe the bigger question is, "Did Dallas do enough to address their blueline this offseason?"
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
Question for you... when did Vas play against Florida? Was it when they were without Barkov and Huberdeau??
I prefer starting Bishop who has a #1 centre that has never played in the NHL... and I think Dallas is going to put up a lot of goals early and it might look similar to Chicago over Pitts last night.
Bishop is the pick here
HTH Daily League, 8 teams, (goals, ppp, +/-, assists, SOG, W, GAA, SV%) keepers in Bold.
C (s3) EP40, Trocheck, Marchessault LW, Horvat
LW (s3) Johnny Hockey, Parise, Terivinen RW, Meier RW
RW(s3) Wheeler C, Taresenko, Atkinson, Gallagher
Until(s1)
D (s4) Carlson, Yandle, Jones, Trouba
G Dubnyk, Rittich, Markstrom, Binnington
IR Ehlers, Hall
Bishop is the pick. I'm actually picking the Panthers to win tonight's battle of Florida.
They can be amped up all they want, but EVERYTHING is new in Vegas, not just the goalie. Also, Fleury is in net on the other side.
SO... Breadman, who did you go with?
- I said... "God damn this tablet is heavy!"
Well, either way you would have done okay. Vas got you the win with a decent SV% and helps if you count saves. Bishop of course didn't allow a goal but missed out on what would probably have been a W if he hadn't left injured.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
A puck to the face changed the history of Vegas's inaugural game, haha
Glad both your goalies had decent showings!
