No! No chance.
Smith has played in some loud barns... but always as a member of a Southern team (Dallas or Arizona).
He has never played in a game where the atmosphere will be as loud as tonight...
1) Battle of Alberta
2) First game of a new season.
I would not pick him up to start.

If it’s your league in sig, I would not start Smith with those particular settings. I’d have no problem starting him in other formats though.

IE, in a format where it’s points I’d risk getting the negative points. In a format for Sv% a GAA, I probably wouldn’t want to start the season with a potential .750 and 5.00

I have a start 1G league and I own both Mason and Smith. Starting Smith here (stats being Wins, SVs, Sv%).

Mike Smith has owned the Oilers in his career. He's 17-3-1 with a .924 SV% and a 2.24 GAA. He did lose his last two starts against the Oilers though. Smith is 4-2 against the Oilers with Connor McDavid in the lineup.
However, the Oilers are 17-8-3 in NHL Games 1 at home in their lifetime.
Based on your counting stats, I would probably start him. The Flames are looking for revenge after not getting a win against Edmonton all of last season.
