    Default Goalie strategy- which goalie/tandem?

12 team H2H league, you are only allowed to carry goalies from 2 teams max. Cats are W, GAA, SV, SV%, SHO.

With our goalie stats there will always be good goalies on the waiver wire. I intend to roll with whoever has the best schedule for the week. Just wanted some input if anyone thought I should do something different.

Vasilevsky is my main goalie and I can pick up Budaj as needed on busy TB weeks. Right now I have Raanta as my #2 as he seems to have the best schedule for the week.

Would I be better off rolling with any of the following for now or even for the whole season? The only downside to rolling with a tandem is it takes away a skater.

    Elliott
    Halak/Greiss
    Luongo/Reimer
    Mason/Hellebuyck
    Howard/Mrazek
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Scheduling, yes - all about scheduling.
I like Raanta with those two Vegas games to open the season.

After that, I'm probably switching to the WPG duo (as you know I looooooove)
Mason will be #1 unless he stumbles.

In general, most NHL teams with two goalies play the back-up:
    i) Whenever they have games on back-to-back nights
ii) After the main goalie has played 4-5 straight games
iii) At least once every two weeks, to keep him fresh.

Usually, with that understanding, you can FEEL a back-up start coming.
Which means you just roster the ONE team goalie... (say Mason)... and add the back-up when he's DUE for a start.
