Scheifle. Just as you said - that top line in Winnipeg is quite good. That's who I'd go with.
Desperately need some help picking my 3 keepers, and would appreciate some feedback.
I feel like Kucherov and Matthews are locks, but nothing is set in stone. Having a hell of a time choosing between Seguin, Schiefle, Tarasenko and Eichel for my last spot. I don't currently own Eichel but know I could get him via trading a GM with weaker keepers, one or two of my non-keepers.
Thoughts on each guy i'm considering for my last spot...
Eichel - awesome young talent who lit it up last season after returning from injury, but plays for a weak team.
Tarasenko - pretty much a lock for 70+ points, but worried that scoring will be spread out on St. Louis.
Schiefle - Winnipeg's top line is insanely good. Does he repeat last year's numbers?
Seguin - down year last year super consistent overall. With Radulov possibly joining him and Benn on the top line, could be a top 5 producer. If he doesn't click with Radulov then could be another down year? Plus there's the Hitchcock factor.
What say you Dobber nation?
Thanks for your help!!!

I have Kuch, MAtthews and Eichel as locks.
I think Scheifele might do better than Matthews, but Matthews holds way more value because people like shiny new toys.
My top 3: Kucherov, Eichel, Tarasenko
Kucherov: closest thing to 80+ certainty on the list
Tarasenko: has the highest floor (75 points) and proving to be steadily elite
Eichel: I think he has the highest upside on the list and he won't be available next year
Seguin: 3rd best upside with proven track record of gaudy offensive output. Hitchcock and health are the downsides.
Matthews: elite player but the hype is insane right now - Matthews is #5 on this list IMO.
Scheifele: I think he's going to be all over 65-75 points but I don't see the upside to justify him as a keeper.
I know I'll get roasted for downgrading Matthews but I see him as a top 20 player, not top 10.

Wow sucks to be you is all I got to say. Hmmm so tough man and positional requirements don't matter? With no bonus for goals over assists I probably drop Tank right away. From there I think you need to forget about Mattews and Kuch being locks there very much in play I probably rank it like this but razor thin.
Eichel
Seguin
Kucherov
Schiefle
Mattews
Tarasenko

For me its:
Eichel
Matthews (inflated due to trade value, especially if you have Leafs fans in your league)
Seguin
then a small step down to Kucherov, Scheifele
then another small step down to Tarasenko
So Matthews may have more perceived value...he doesn't actually hold more value if Scheifle scores more points in this format. When Evaluating elite players (as these guys all are) I always fall back on opportunity and situation (better line mates, better skilled D). Your best three players here are Kucherov, Scheifle, and Matthews.

I think leaving Eichel out of the top 3 would be a mistake. Unless you just omitted him because he doesn't own him yet.
Kucherov, Scheifele, Matthews, Seguin are all so close that I couldn't fault anyone for going with any given two of them. But I feel pretty strongly about including Eichel in the 3 keepers if he can be acquired.
This is the route I would go if I was only concerned with production. If I was taking Matthews over Scheifele it would be for his sky high trade value in most leagues, not because I think he will out produce Scheifele.
Edit: Damn, I forgot about Seguin. Such a hard choice between Kucherov, Scheifele and Seguin!!
Kucherov and Eichel.
Then the last one I am struggling with too. Seguin, Matthews, Scheifele. I think I would take Matthews (could just be because I want him to succeed - Torontian)
Kuch and Eichel for me are locks. As BMP said, Scheifele might be comparable to Matthews, but if you ever want to make a deal down the road Matthews will net you a far greater return due to his name value and the high profile team he plays for.

This is really tough....no real wrong choices here. Thought process...
Matthews - Great coach, plays with Nylander, Leafs have a truly elite passer/skater in Reilly on the back end and some decent depth after that
Scheifle - So so coach, plays with phenomenal line mates, several elite level D man in Big Buff and Trouba and the rest are very good too
Seguin - Defensive coach/new system, Radulov is still a question mark in my mind and Benn is great. Klingberg is elite but after that its a pretty drastic drop
Eichel - New coach/system is an unknown, plays with decent talent, no real elite puck moving D in Buffalo...some decent depth but nothing to write home about
Kucherov - Good coach, phenomenal line mates, Hedman - done
Tarasenko - Meh coach, unknown/fair line mates, excellent D depth but not sure were at elite puck movers on Pietrangelo or Parayko...perhaps
Looking at all this I'm going with my three mentioned above. And if Matthews has a very high perceived value in your league all the more reason to keep him

Since Matthews has more perceived value. Trade him to get Eichel and maybe a draft pick to go with it.
Kucherov
Eichel
Schieffle
