Based on my Fantrax team in my signature, which player is expendable to shave cap? I was thinking Barzal. Bad idea?

Is your signature up to date? I don't even see Barzal there. Either way, I'd probably keep him and drop Watson if he's still on your team. Decent depth player but expendable.

If Barzal wasn't there, he is now. I assume it's been updated. I'm with Jouko. I'd cut Watson loose before Barzal if you can swing it.

can you save money by putting White or Chychurn on IR? Not sure if cap leagues account for that ... just spitballin.

Maybe swap White for Greenway on your minors roster until healthy.

Yes. I don't understand why you're making this decision so difficult to save a depth player who might not even crack the NHL roster (Wood). Are we missing something here?

I'm just curious. Sergachev might be limited to 40 games this year because of the conditional pick in the trade with the Canadiens. Wondering if he was worth holding on to.

And Wood could be limited to 20 games because he spends most of the season in the AHL. I'd definitely take Sergachev's upside, no questions asked.

Luckily this new guy dropped Gibson for whatever reason, so now I'm able to shave more cap by grabbing him (1st on waivers) and drop Lehner!

Any reason you wouldn't drop a skater instead of Lehner? Injuries happen, so it might be a good idea to have three starters on your team. I would guess a starter is more valuable than a 50 point forward like Hornqvist or Backlund but you know your league better than me, so maybe I'm missing something with this.

Goalies only cover 3 categories in our league, so I figure 2 goalies is enough and potentially stream a 3rd if need be. Acquiring Gibson and dropping Lehner would also free up $1.7m in cap
