Haapala seems like the safer choice, as he will make the team.. 40 points could be right for him

Lindblom is a dark horse for the Calder. I'm not as high on Haapala as others are. Small, undrafted winger coming over from a European league - most of those players don't usually amount to much.
I highly suggest going over to hfboards and seeing just how high Flyers fans are on Lindblom.

    GET WELL SOON, DOBBER.

Don't know anything about Haapala but Lindblom is the favorite to fill in Schenn's old spot on the PP1.

Don't think the guide has the lines correct. Lots has changed since it was written.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Of the two I'd go Lindblom. More boom/bust potential and he has a chance to cement a spot with some high-end talent. To me Haapala is more of a steady support guy.

Latest news is that Couturier will center Giroux (LW) and Voracek

    Smart move grabbing both.
This is actually a tough decision.

Florida is starved for offensive firepower, so Haapala seems like he'll have good shot to win top six time on FLA LW2.
That said, I don't see him nosing into the PP1... and that's where the gravy is on any team.

Lindblom, from what I've read, has REALLY impressed in camp for PHI.
But... from what I've read... there is no set plan for the Philly forward lines.
They have a great top 9. I've read about trying G on wing, but I've also read he's back to C.
And, I've read Lindblom on PP1 - but they also have been trying Filpp on PP1... and Filppula looked better (per one writer).

PHI's top nine will be a mix of:
Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Couturier, Patrick, Filppula, Konecny, Weal, Lindblom.
[Read & Raffl & Weise & Laughton & Lehtera all seemed destined for 4th line / spares.]

Charlie O'Connor has some great coverage for Philly over on theathletic.com.
He's going to give his break-down on the PHI 1-3-1 powerplay this week, which I'm looking forward to.

Anyways - Lindblom has boom-potential if he got a top two wing or PP1 spot.
I think he's way more risky than Haapala, but I think he also has WAY more upside than Haapala.

The guide was already lacking any insight on the Lindblom situation whatsoever to begin with. He was/is a lock to be in the lineup, most likely in the top 9 and was/is the favorite to take the slot on PP1. They won't be abandoning their PP1 setup any time soon, which is the bread and butter of the entire team and requires a left handed shooter in the slot. Weal is a righty. Filppulas been given a look there as well and although Hakstol's a bit of an idiot, my bets still on Lindblom to win the role if not some sort of split. Hard to say what the plan is for certain there.

I won't call him a lock until the final rosters are out. I'd say he's a bubble player right now with nice upside.

    Bubble for sure: http://www.courierpostonline.com/sto...amp/697986001/

But I do like his upside. Last I read, Weal was largely rolling with Patrick and Simmonds
