Eichel Vs. Matthews
Keeper League, G,A,SOG, carry most value in my league.
Eichels ppg pace was huge last year, as was his SOG totals.
Matthews ice time worries me, but looks like a better player when I watch him.

Eichel for me. Coming out party. But if I owned Matthews I certainly wouldn't be complaining.

Trying to be unbiased here but I still like Matthews more. Plus he is on the better team and better powerplay.

I would not entertain trading my Matthews for Eichel. In fact, I did just the opposite. I acquired Matthews for Eichel last season. Yes Eichel had a fantastic part season, but let's see him do what Matthews did in 1 full season. Compare their rookie seasons, it's not even close. Matthews by a rather substantial margin. Eichel had an injury plagued but productive 2nd season. Up to Matthews to better that. But until we see 2 from Matthews proving or disproving his critics, I'm sticking with the 2nd most exciting kid next to McDavid for me.

im a leaf fan and huge matthews fan and in RL, no freaken way i ever trade Matthews for Eichel, but with those 3 stats only, i think Eichel maybe be slightly better....

I'm surprised by the responses in this thread so far...
AM34 easily for me - he's already better than Eichel, better supporting cast, won't be hampered by an attitude problem for the rest of his career, and his ice time will only go up.

Matthews had less ice time and PP time than Eichel in their rookie seasons and still crushed him in production and it has been that way going back years in comparable leagues at the same age. Matthews has the edge for me.
