Default Draft results - looking for advice for next year

Hey folks, I had my draft last weekend and as this is only my second year re-drafting in a keeper I thought I would post my results and see if I could get some friendly advice on my good picks and my missteps. One thing to keep in mind is that in this rather shallow league we have a lot of waiver moves (15 max) and there is often solid value on the wire all year so I went with extreme youth in the last couple rounds just on the chance that I might hit it big. Here are the results, any comments are greatly appreciated

    1st: Forsberg
    2nd: Ehlers
    3rd: Gibson
    3rd: Pietrangelo
    6th: Kuznetsov
    7th: Giroux
    8th: Fowler
    9th: Huberdeau
9th: Slavin (Since moved for Gardiner)
    10th: Reinhart
    11th: Keller

Thank goodness you traded Slavin for Gardiner is all I can say. It's nearly impossible to judge a squad in an 8 team league, but I'd say you're weak in goal and a bit young. I think you'll be outside the championship picture when all is said and done for this season. Plus, when you can keep only 5, you in essence "wasted" the young picks. You literally have no skater age 30 or older, and you can't win by going that young. Go for more balance next year between the future and the here and now.

still lacks premier forward this is nice supporting cast but no Tarasenko for instance. Hopefully Ehlers can step into 70 territory for us.

Yeah I see your point thanks, will rep you guys again when I am able to. I could have gone a little older but I honestly felt like the way the draft went I was taking usually the best players available. The last three picks were hopes of a slam dunk because I know guys like Staal, Kadri, schwartz etc are all sitting on the wire. I am usually pretty active so I think i can squeak into the top three but yeah I don't think I am competing for the chip this year. Thanks!
